Capilano Squadron
Plumper Cove lies on the East shore of Keats Island, right across from Gibsons. This has traditionally been the venue for the Capilano Squadron shake-down cruise early in the year. Plumper Cove is close to Vancouver (10 miles from Horseshoe Bay) and an easy cruise for vessels of all types. There are public docks ($2/m/night) and mooring buoys ($10/night) available and anchoring is good. Just on-shore from the docks are several camp sites where our kids normally pitch a tent.
This will be a pretty informal cruise and apart from a pot-luck at the docks (or on shore at one of the camp sites) on Saturday evening, we are not planning any activities. But be prepared for something to be arranged on the spur of the moment, as is usual on Squadron cruises...
